Hey hey! Dotty here — slightly sun-dazzled, mildly buried under stock boxes, and pretending very confidently that June did not simply vanish into the craft cupboard. 🌞

Yes… we missed June's newsletter! Oopsie. In our defence, the shop has been absolutely buzzing with new hobby stock, Warhammer launches, crochet blooms, workshop planning and enough cardboard boxes to build a small fort.

So we’re making July a bumper crafty catch-up instead. Let’s dive in…

Well. This one has been a journey.

After being held up in Spain, France and UK customs, our massive Green Stuff World delivery has finally arrived — and it was absolutely worth the wait.

We’ve been busy adding over 100 new hobby products to the website and shelves, including basing bits, modelling tools, textures, scenic materials, resin pieces, paints, effects and all sorts of clever little things you didn’t know you needed until you saw them.

The King Cole Say It With Flowers Summer Crochet Along is in full bloom, and it has been such a joy watching this beautiful blanket grow week by week.

Sophie has been working on her own version and sharing weekly showcase videos so you can see each new section as it appears. Not tutorials — more of a lovely little “look how gorgeous this is becoming!” moment.

The summer holidays are nearly here, which means snacks, sunshine, sudden rain, and the legendary phrase: “I’m bored.”

Luckily, we’ve got you covered.

Our kids summer workshops are now available to view and book online, with lots of creative sessions planned to keep little hands busy and imaginations switched on. From Magical Dragon Eyes and Snail Snow Globes to Needle Felting, Marbling, Decoupage, Painting and more, we've packed the summer holidays with colourful, hands-on creativity. This year, we're also introducing a selection of specialist workshops for older children, giving budding makers the chance to learn new skills and tackle more advanced creative projects. Every session is designed to build confidence, spark imaginations and, most importantly, send everyone home with a smile (and something brilliant they've made themselves!).

Think you can tell a story in miniature?

This summer we're inviting hobbyists, crafters and miniature enthusiasts of all ages to take part in our Tiny Worlds Diorama Challenge! Whether you work with Warhammer miniatures, model railways, doll's house accessories, fantasy figures, LEGO, handmade creations or anything in between, we'd love to see what you can create.

Every entrant will receive a FREE 4" wooden base as the starting point. From there, the only limit is your imagination! Build a tiny scene, tell a story, recreate a favourite moment, or invent an entirely new world.

There'll be both Adult and Kids categories, with fantastic prizes up for grabs and all completed entries will be displayed in-store for everyone to admire before the winners are chosen.

What will you create?

Beach scene? Fairy garden? Picnic? Football match? Campsite? Warhammer battlefield? Tiny ice cream stand? Frog on holiday? Absolutely valid.

• Challenge runs from 1st July to the end of August
• Adult and Junior categories
• Any genre, any style, any materials
• Warhammer welcome, but definitely not required
• Entries will be displayed in store

So whether you're a seasoned modeller or fancy trying something completely new, why not create your own tiny world this summer?

What a launch!

A huge thank you to everyone who pre-ordered Armageddon through us, joined in with the excitement, entered the prize draw, collected on release day, or simply popped in to talk tiny plastic strategy.

Our prize draw was a brilliant bit of hobby fun, and it was lovely seeing the winners so happy with their prizes. That’s the kind of launch day energy we like.

And because Games Workshop apparently believes hobby wish lists should never be allowed to rest, the recent Summer Preview has already shown even more Warhammer goodness will be heading our way soon!

Keep Your Paints Happy This Summer

Warmer weather is lovely for iced drinks and garden crafting… less lovely for acrylic paints drying out faster than you can say “where did I put my brush?”

If you’re painting miniatures, models, wooden shapes or summer craft projects, a wet palette can be a total game-changer.

Also worth remembering:

• Keep paint lids clean and closed properly
• Don’t leave paints in direct sunlight
• Add a tiny drop of water if acrylics start thickening
• Wash brushes before paint dries near the ferrule
