Instant Cyano Glue: Gel - 20g

about this product...

This single component high viscosity no-drip gel cyanoacrylate adhesive is ideal for bonding porous materials or when controlling adhesive flow is critical. Offers maximum gap-filling and repositioning time. Drying time 5-10 seconds.

CONTENT:1x 20gr. CA modelling glue gel

RECOMMENDATIONS:

- Use adhesive tips available at our site to extend the lifetime of the bottles
- If you are not planning to use the CA glue for a long period of time, prepare the adhesive for storage: remove the tip, clean and wipe your CA bottle nozzle and neck, and re-cap it.
- Make sure your CA glue is stored away from your CA Glue Activator. The accelerator gives off fumes (aerosols) just sitting there, which can cause CA glue to harden in the bottle prematurely. We recommend a zip-lock bag for the accelerator.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between this and the liquid version?

The Liquid version flows by capillary action and penetrates tight joints, making it ideal for perfectly fitting parts. The gel version is no-drip, fills small gaps, and gives you slightly more time to reposition. For standard assembly, the liquid version is often more versatile, but this adhesive is essential for resin and porous materials.

How do I prevent the bottle from drying out once opened?

Clean the nozzle after every use and store it tightly closed. Avoid using the tip to push materials (like sand or debris), as this can cause clogs. Store the product in a cool place, as high temperatures accelerate hardening. Interchangeable precision tips are also available to prevent the main nozzle from drying out. Keep the bottle away from cyanoacrylate accelerators.

Does it bond like "Loctite" from a hardware store?

It is essentially the same chemical compound: cyanoacrylate. The difference is that this bottle features a precision nozzle for modelling, and the price per gram is significantly better than most "hobby" super glues.

Is it safe? Does it have a strong odour?

Cyanoacrylate releases fumes during curing and bonds skin instantly. Use it in a well-ventilated area, avoid contact with skin and eyes, and keep it out of reach of children.

Can it be sanded once dry?

Yes. Once fully cured, it can be sanded with fine-grit sandpaper. This is very useful for removing excess adhesive from visible joints.
