this years entries so far...
Nope! While we love our Warhammer minis, Brush Crusade is open to all tabletop, display, and hobby miniatures. If it’s painted with care and creativity, it belongs here.
Everyone is welcome - from first-time painters to seasoned pros. Brush Crusade is about celebrating progress, creativity, and passion at every level.
No — entering Brush Crusade is completely free.
Eligible entries include figures, character models, and busts, including heroes, creatures, monsters, vehicles, walkers, and tanks from any game system, universe, or genre.
This year we’re also welcoming diorama entries, but only within the dedicated Diorama category.
Dioramas must be narrative, storytelling displays that include miniatures arranged on a single base.
For clarity: a squad mounted on one base is perfectly eligible as a diorama — just make sure the terrain and setting do the storytelling!
All entries must represent a character, figure, or narrative miniature subject.
Scenery-only builds, terrain pieces, architectural models, or non-character projects (such as model railway layouts or display sets) are not eligible.
All entries must comply with category base-size rules and be 100% hand-painted by the entrant.
We use base size as a general guide, not a hard rule.
When choosing your category, consider the gaming base size your model would normally be mounted on.
If your entry sits close to a category boundary, simply enter the category that best matches the type of model (for example: single character, large model, unit, or diorama).
If it needs adjusting, we’re always happy to move entries where needed.
Although we will only use one for our online gallery, we recommend you upload at least 2–3 well-lit images from different angles. Clear photos help us review your entry properly and showcase your work in the online gallery.
Once you’ve submitted your form, we’ll review your entry and upload it to our online gallery. When it appears there, you’ll see your unique entry number displayed alongside your images - that’s your official reference number for the competition.
No email is sent with entry numbers. Instead, all submissions are published in our online gallery, where your allocated number will be clearly shown. Just check back once your entry is live and make a note of it for later stages.
Not at first! Entries are submitted online with photos. Finalists will later be invited to display their models in person for public voting, and only models brought into the shop during the final display week will be eligible to win prizes.
Online-only entries are very welcome to take part, but unfortunately cannot be awarded.
After entries close, we’ll shortlist selected pieces for in-store display and judging. If your entry is chosen, we’ll contact you by email with full instructions on how and when to bring your model into the shop. All entries will remain visible in the online gallery.
Entries are reviewed and shortlisted by the Brush Crusade team. Finalists will be displayed for public voting, with additional awards decided by overall judging.
