Happy New Year from Dotty and all of us at The Home Crafters! 🎉 It’s a brand new chapter and we’re diving in with fresh ideas, new supplies, and a jam-packed calendar of creativity.

January is all about making space — not adding more clutter (yet!). Instead of shiny new ranges, we’re clearing the decks and waving goodbye to a load of fab crafty bits to make room for exciting things later in the year.

That means rummage-worthy shelves, end-of-line finds, and plenty of “how is this still here?!” moments. If you love a good dig and a great price, this is your month.

And yes — our up to half-price craft kits are continuing into January, so it’s the perfect time to grab something new to try without the full-price commitment.

January is a planning month behind the scenes, and Sophie is deep in calendar mode — building what might just be our ultimate workshop line-up yet.

All kids’ holidays will be covered with brand new crafts alongside much-loved returning favourites, and our adult sessions will continue with plenty of relaxed, skill-building creativity to look forward to such as needle felting, mandala painting, lino printing and so much more!

Dates will be announced as soon as they’re ready, so keep an eye on our workshop page and socials — 2026 is shaping up to be a very crafty year.

January is the perfect time to look at what you already own and ask one simple question: what could this become?

Old jars = brush pots.
Scrap card = test pieces.
Leftover yarn = practice swatches or mini gifts.

Before you buy anything new, challenge yourself to make one project from rescued, recycled, or forgotten supplies. It’s amazing what a bit of creative constraint can do for motivation — and your storage space will thank you.

January might be quieter, but our local makers are still quietly brilliant.

Dotty’s pick this month is a fresh start for your everyday essentials — new glue, sharp blades, tidy brushes, fresh pencils or a clean cutting mat. Nothing flashy, just the good stuff that makes crafting feel easy again.

It’s amazing how much motivation comes back when your tools actually behave. Small upgrades, big “ooh that’s better” energy.

Pop in if you’re not sure what needs replacing — we’re very good at diagnosing tired craft supplies and sending them into a well-earned retirement. 😄

As mentioned, we’re clearing out discontinued, end-of-line and “last few left” items to make space for what’s coming next — so expect proper rummage energy and prices to match.

Our Bargain Basement section is packed with proper blink-and-you’ll-miss-them prices right now — a mix of hidden gems, end-of-line treats and crafty oddities that are all priced to move. If you love the thrill of spotting a great deal (and feeling very smug about it), this section is well worth a browse.
